Nuclear Decommissioning waste immobilisation facilities, Detailed design already accepted by the client, the engineering solution was valued at £4M and was over budget, Alpha Engineering scope consisted off:-
- Value engineering meeting with stake holders analysing the Safety Functional Requirements.
- Satisfy the Stake holders, in a system fit for purpose.
- Re engineer the BoD and VFD’s agree with stake holders.
- Deliver a whole new detailed design for the three facilities.
- Technical support to procurement / installation.
- Author commissioning documentation.
- Commission the ventilation systems/ handover to the client.
Aim to deliver £2M savings over the original priced solution, for a £150k design investment.
